Coil Centering stationDuring the packaging process, metal coils must be accurately positioned so that the strapping or packaging material wraps evenly and securely around the coil. Centering devices help to accurately center the coil on the conveyor line, avoiding uneven or weak wrapping caused by coil deflection. When the web is not centered, it can cause asymmetrical loading of the equipment and increased wear and tear on mechanical parts such as conveyor belts and rollers. In the long run, this can shorten equipment life and increase maintenance costs. Centering devices can reduce this asymmetrical load and extend the life of the equipment.
